Thank you for supporting CULTIVATE!

Last Thursday, we celebrated 41 years of food justice at the Danny Woo Community Garden at our first annual CULTIVATE happy hour benefit. We had an absolute blast turning the garden's outdoor kitchen into a bumpin' party spot, complete with music, fresh flowers from Kamayan Farm, wine, small bites, and forty guests!

The focus of the evening was to celebrate the contributions communities of color have and continue to make to the garden's and Seattle's wider food justice movement. We were lucky enough to feature small bites from Chef Tarik, Food and Sh*t, and Hood Famous Bakeshop, while also creating our own bite using garden grown tomatoes, Essential Baking Co. bread, Beecher's cheese, and That Brown Girl Cooks' hummus!  Guests were able to wash these bites down with local wine, DRY Soda, and strawberry water using fruit from the garden.

Check out the photos from the evening! We are so grateful to all those who supported the garden last Thursday and can't wait to see you and more of the community at next year's bigger and better CULTIVATE happy hour!
